Overview
Here’s a snippet from CULT Aimee Friberg’s most recent show and opening party—which was fantastic, by the way—CULT TURNS 10: 10 Year Anniversary Exhibition, celebrating 10 years in the biz.
“CULT TURNS 10 is a love letter to all the artists who have shared their work with us, and to the collectors, curators and public who have supported us in a myriad of ways over the last ten years…Through gallery presentations, offsite exhibitions, artist conversations and multimedia events, CULT engages a broad Bay Area and international audience with programming that encourages artists—especially women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ communities—to take risks with their work.”
The commemorative exhibition features 30+ artists (with a second iteration opening at CULT Bureau [482 49th Street, Oakland] on February 23), including Miya Ando, Binta Ayofemi, Ivan Bridges, Adrian Burrell, Fritz Chesnut, Sophronia Cook, Mary Fernando Conrad, Chris Duncan, Nicole Nadeau, Tau Lewis, Kija Lucas, Amy Nathan, Jay Nelson, Andrew Owen, Suzy Poling, Sarah Palmer, Dean Smith, David Wilson, and the following featured in the clip:
