Art Calendar: All Eyes On Us at Edge on the Square (SF Chinatown) | Ongoing
Edge on the Square’s All Eyes on Us: Invention & Ingenuity During Artistic Diasporas spotlights “hidden dragons”—artists whose creative paths were reshaped or paused amid the challenges of immigration, assimilation, and survival. Featuring sound art, mixed media, installations, and photography by Bhumikorn Kongtaveelert, David Huang, Hou Yumei, Jeanette Lazam, Jiabao Li, Leland Wong, Master Ko Si Hing, Sun Park, Terry Luk, and Yuqian Sun, the exhibition uplifts Asian American and diasporic stories of resilience and adaptation. Through their work, these artists illuminate how displacement and cultural marginalization can inspire new forms of expression—revealing the quiet ingenuity of those who persist in the shadows until the time to emerge arrives.
