Each painting evokes the exaggerated intimacy of mukbang videos—overflowing with surreal abundance\, absurd beauty\, and emotional detachment. Drawing from Wu’s cross-cultural experiences across the U.S.\, China\, and Italy\, the works reflect how food\, desire\, and identity intertwine through race\, gender\, and class.
