Overview
Some Dogs: A Curated Selection of Dog Art from the Hornik Collection, curated by PJ Policarpio, features 60+ works from the private collection of Pamela and David Hornik.
The collection is an impressive ensemble of modern and contemporary art, and includes works from photography legends such as Gordon Parks (middle), Lee Friedlander (upper left), Robert Mapplethorpe (lower left), and Peter Hujar (upper right).

Was very excited to see contemporary artists Sesse Elangwe (who is currently part of a group show at Jonathan Carver Moore), Jordan Casteel, and Ricardo Passaporte in the mix as well.

As you can see from the portraits of Pam and her rescue dog Teddy, it’s a very personal show, taking inspiration from the tender relationships human beings share with their four-legged companions.
