Overview

Mika Rottenberg: Spaghetti Blockchain is the Contemporary Jewish Museum’s current exhibition. The show features a selection of video installations and interactive sculptures where viewers are invited to participate in the wonderful weirdness that is Mika Rottenberg.

Her work examines capitalism through transactional processes. In Cosmic Generator, you are transported into the what-the-fuck world of Chinese restaurant tacos. In this world, migration and the need for food and consumer goods is shown through a series of movements by tunnels, carts, and roads—which alludes to the questions: Are society’s needs cultivated in a lab somewhere out there in the Matrix? Who controls whom?

This is a MUST SEE SHOW for video art lovers, ASMR fans, new media art makers by the New York-based Argentine-Israeli artist. It’s like a choreographed acid trip, scary and exhilarating, where in the end you chuckle to yourself cause for a moment, you knew everything in the all of nothing.
